This seat's been perfect for my medium-sized dog - plenty of space to sit comfortably and peek out the windows (which he loves!). It took me literally seconds to install - just clip it in and you're good to go. A few things to know: Probably too snug for bigger dogs (70+ lbs). Only has one clip, so it's best for single-dog households. The smooth material was a bit slippery at first - I threw in a non-slip mat and now it's perfect. Despite these small things, I'd absolutely recommend it. My pup rides in comfort and I don't have to worry about him sliding around. Just add some padding and it's golden!

But here's the important safety note: While the built-in tether might stop your dog from jumping out, it WON'T protect them in a sudden stop or crash. The tucked-in handles don't provide enough grip to keep the seat (and your pup) from flying forward. Instead, I highly recommend using a separate seatbelt tether attached directly to your dog's harness for real protection. Aside from this one flaw, the quality is excellent - just be sure to add that extra safety measure for peace of mind!
